End of the World?

The "world" doesn't end in an instant it's a slow grueling process and it will hit us when we least expect, so who's to say it hadn't already started.  Look at the worlds current state; polluting of the environment, shootings, and even having callousness towards these kinds of issues.  I would say the "world" may have ended a long time ago.
